We have a new addition to the Iscovitz family....(drumroll!!!)GIAVANNA BELLE

So that sums it up! We welcomed baby Giavanna into our family on September 7th and we couldn't have been more blessed with such a perfect and beautiful baby girl! Giavanna is my dream baby by sleeping 4 and 5 hour stretches at night and pretty much all day and when she is not sleeping I am holding her. Yes we are going to spoil the heck out of this child and I am enjoying every minute of it. WE love our new baby girl!

Well today we celebrated Anne Marie and Juliana's birthday by going to the hill and Mike dragged them down the huge hill in a sheet. Yes it was very exciting and if I didn't have Baby Giavanna in the moby I would have jumped in the middle of these two special birthday girls. I think Mike was exhaused running up and down this hill over and over and over again. We went to the park after and the girls played with their favorite baby dolls, Baby Anne Marie and Baby Juliana. It was their birthday too! Here is a pic of these beautiful girls! Oh and this is the first picture of Juliana with her new glasses. I think she looks so adorable and I am very proud of her!

It's been 10 months but guess what! I am back...blogging like crazy so look out!

Well Welcome back to my blog! I have been MIA for a while but looking forward I am back. We had had lots of ups and downs over the last 10 months but everyone is healthy and fine and now on to blogging about my beautiful twin girls Anne Marie and Juliana. They are now 3 1/2 years old (saying that with tears!) because they grow so fast. We had a great Christmas and we did fall into a little health crisis for my Juliana but for now all is well and great. I will post more details on her Juvenile Arthritis and Uveitis at a later date. We were consumed with Juliana's health since April combined with building a new home and getting settled so this is the reason why I have been MIA! But I am back! Look at the pics and I will post more later. Thing to know:

-We are starting preschool homeschool tomorrow
-Ballet/Tumbling/Tap starts on Wednesday
-MOPS every other Friday
-Disney World trip in October

We are super busy with unpacking into our new home and keeping our twin girls happy as well as keeping up with our daily lives. Welcome Back and hope you enjoy our journey.

Happy 3rd Birthday Juliana & Anne Marie!!

My beautiful girls turned 3 on November 14th and we celebrated with Tinkerbell! They were so excited about their birthday party and they were such little princesses! Take a peek!

We had lots of family in town and that made everything extra special. The girls really had a great birthday and everyone had a great time.

We had their 3 year old appointment yesterday and here are the highlights:

Juliana is 25 pounds and 34 3/4 inches. She is very petite coming in at the 5th percentile(wow!). I remember when I was in grade school and they would line us up according to height and I was always the second smallest so I guess Juliana will be petite like me! She did great on her hearing and vision test...her vision is 20/40.

Anne Marie is 28 pounds and 36 inches. She is in the 25th percentile. Anne did great on her hearing and visions test and her vision is 20/30.

Okay the cute part...Anne Marie told Mike "Daddy you took a long time getting home from work and Mike said "oh Anne I know Daddy got stuck at work for a while." Anne Marie said "Did someone pull you out with a rope!" Too cute!

The girls can write the alphabet and they do really good on worksheets (following directions and circling items that are alike, different, matching, etc) They still love puzzels and they (I am biased!) are SUPER smart for their age! They ask a lot of questions and love to read books.

I have so much more to tell but I never have time. My New Year's Resolution is to blog more!

Disney World!!

Okay bad me! (tap on hand) We went to Disney World last month and had a great great time! We celebrated our 8 year anniversary and took our girls on the most magical trip ever! We flew to Orlando and hopped on a shuttle to the awesome Animal Kingdom Resort for 5 wonderful (almost) days! Yes the trip was tiresome and we were exhausted everyday but how often do you get to see your twin girls' faces (is that right?) light up when they see Mickey, Minnie, Cinderella, Chip & Dale, Little Mermaid and Tinkerbell? Oh yes we had Zebras and Giraffes outside our resort balcony, great food and hopper passes! We went to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Our resort pool was awesome and the girls had a great great time. I can't wait to take them back next year!

Our Summer Months!

Well it has been a while...the first big news is that Anne Marie and Juliana have been potty trained for about 3 months now so I think we can officially announce that we are done with diapers! The girls trained really in three days and that was it...no fighting and not too many accidents so it was really pretty easy for me. I think it was just the right time! This is a big accomplishement so Congratulations Anne Marie and Juliana!!
Our first road trip was Austin! We went to a tea party in June...It was Keegan Walton's 3rd birthday party...she is the daughter of one of Mike's friends from CB Smith Park some 15 years ago. We are good friends with them and we had a great time visiting with them.

We had visits from Mom-Mom, Grandpa and Uncle Neil this summer and we are planning our first airplane trip in two weeks. I can't say where because it is a surprise but I will let you know the details after. It should be interesting flying with two 2 1/2 year old girls....I hope it goes smoothly! :)

We went to the movies a couple of times this summer and the girls loved it...but the cartoon movie just didn't quite keep their attention. Juliana loved eating popcorn! I had to bring Anne Marie's plain Lay's chips so that she could be happy too! We also do many things during the month...pool, library, Barnes and Noble, storytime, playdates with friends, etc. so we are very active this summer!! :)

We went to the Circus!! It was a fun time for all...we enjoyed the elephants, tigers and the acrobats!! I think I was more excited than the girls but they really had a great time. I can't wait to take them every year!

We just got back from Lafayette and this was a quick little trip just to see Grandma Bay and my grandmother "MaMa Beulah". The girls love going to visit and they are really good travelers. We went to the park and we just did a lot of visiting with family. We are home now and just trying to get back into our normal routine. Time flys and I almost forget to update my blog. We have so many fun-filled and exhausting days I am forgetting to document in my blog so here goes(I am going to try and catch up!) Well my precious girls Anne Marie and Juliana are just as darling as ever! They are also smart, cute, beautiful, cranky, manipulative, funny, creative, and most of all loving. One of Anne Marie's many new phrases is "I love you too Mommy" and I think that is my favorite saying in the whole world. I could listen to it all day long and never get tired! Juliana's new thing is "Ouch you hurt me!" or "Don't worry, Mommy, we will buy more, I promise!" It is so cute I have to admit I sometimes do things on purpose just to hear these sayings. We took an overnight trip to Galveston in April and the girls loved the beach. This was their response when we got there!! s

They are great little travelers and we had a great time!

The Easter Bunny stopped by our house and we had a baskets full of stuff and we had an Easter Egg Hunt!

Okay it is 6:00am and I have a minute to update this forgotten blog! My girls are blissfully sleeping along with my husband! Well a lot has gone on over the last month Anne Marie and Juliana are talking in full sentences and they are communicating very well. I think Juliana said a 9 word sentence the other day and when I heard her I put my fingers out and actually counted. It is so cute because they are really thinking hard about what words to use and most of the time it comes out right but a lot of times it is so cute and so funny! The cutest thing is listening to them have a conversation (I will have to video that!)

We got tricycles yesterday so that was very exciting and also TuTus! Juliana loved her Tutu and pranced around all day and posed for pictures and as you can see she will be a ballerina! (just like Zoe!)

Now Anne Marie was a little different, she had no interest in wearing the Tutu! She had so much fun watching "sissy" prance around but I had to do some bribing to get the few pictures that I did!

For the first time in 7 years we decided to take the girls to the rodeo livestock show

They had a great time! The petting zoo was really fun.

Daddy really liked the barbeque and yes he did get the "Fried Twinkie" which I have to say was pretty good. He did go back to the rodeo for work a couple of days later and made the decision to try the "Fried Oreos" and I think he liked those better!

So I know you are wondering if the girls are in dance? Nope not yet but maybe when they are around four years old. As for me I am super busy with these little girls because they don't take NAPS anymore so we have long long long days! I try to occupy them with parks, bookstore, shopping, etc. and they still love to color and paint and they love singing songs. I am actually able to walk them into stores without the fear of one or both trying to run away...yes this has happened but now I can reason with them and of course the bribes help to control them when nothing else works!

Yep...this mommy has been training to run a 5k and I accomplished my mission!! Yeah for me! Check out the pictures and I had Mike, Anne Marie and Juliana cheering me on...oh and it is the first of many! This particular race was to raise money for pediatric genetic testing and my next scheduled race is in July for Juvenile Diabetes. It was very challenging but I made it through the 3.1 miles and we were all excited. It was a great accomplishment for me! Okay enough about me and on to Anne Marie and Juliana. The are doing just great...talking like crazy and making complete sentences and explaining everything. I will update more detailed when I get a chance but for now enjoy the pictures! Take care!

It's a New Year!!

It's been a while since I've post because we have been busy with two two year old girls!! The girls are changing and learning new stuff everyday and I just can't keep up! They are now saying full sentences and you can have a conversation with them. It is amazing how much a child (or two) can learn in a day so we are always trying to keep them busy and entertained. Okay here are the updates:

Anne Marie:
Anne Bear loves to put together puzzles! She is putting together 24 piece puzzles (at 2 years old!) with just a little guiding but she can definitely get the majority of it. She can count to 15 and we are working to 20 and she can totally talk and have a full conversation which is super cute! She continues to be the caretaker of the two and she takes care of Juliana...brings her her juice and snacks. It is so cute to hear them argue back and forth. Anne loves to sing and will sing until you tell to stop. She is quite the young lady and very dainty and continues to be extremely picky about food.

Juliana:
Juliana is very musical (like her dad) and artistic....she loves to color and she is very specific about what color she wants to use and for a 2 year old she can color really good. She also loves to sing and play the guitar together. She is very emotional and will cry at any little thing including songs and books so we are very careful not to upset her too much but it is cute! She is the one who takes Anne Marie's toys and runs and she will blame things on Anne and poor Anne Bear always gives in to Juliana!! She will eat any fruit or vegetable but will not drink milk but she is still my best eater...oh and she loves Indian food (just like me!. Juliana is my little athlete and everything she does is very metiulous and she is cute as a button!

Well we had a lot of excitement this morning... Santa ate the cookies and drank all of the milk and left lots of presents...The girls were especially good this year and yes Santa found the purple airplane and Max and Ruby! Take a look!

The story behind the picture...well the girls were so excited to see Santa and were talking about it for days. The would mimic Santa...HO Ho HO Merry Christmas and they talked about Santa and so we decided to go and visit Santa.
Lets talk about Juliana...she was so excited to see Santa she ran right up to him and jumped in his lap. She was very friendly and told Santa exactly what she wanted which is Max and Ruby. I am sure Santa will find something with Max and Ruby!!

Now on to Anne Marie...Well while in line waiting to take a picture of Santa, Anne Marie got a little anxious and decided that she didn't want any part of Santa. She wanted me to hold her and I thought oh no...here we go again. This is the picture from last year... ( I will put it up shortly)

So Anne Marie finally settled for sitting on a stool in front of Santa. We actually did get to see Santa several times this weekend...a birthday party and my twins club family holiday party so Anne Marie did talk to Santa and let him know that she really wants a purple airplane!! Hopefully Santa finds a "PURPLE" airplane because that is what she wants!!

Yes! Anne Marie finally did a Pee-Pee on the POTTY!

We did a song and dance and celebrated and she got 2 M&M's! Today is Anne Marie's Day! Congratulations Nana!!

I guess it is time for me to start Potty Training!! Oh no!
I won't give anymore details (I don't want to embarrass my girls anymore!) but I will let you know when they are totally potty trained!

My Sweet Girls!

Okay...I have a lot of things going on for my girls birthday and I will post a "chronological time pic of our day" tomorrow so take peek tomorrow.

I am a little sad tonight because my little twin babies are growing up so fast. They are so so very smart and they are talking up a storm. They say new words and sentences everyday and now they call each other and fuss with each other. It is so cute. Anne Bear has yet to pee-pee on the potty but we are hopeful it will happen soon but my little Juliana pee-pees almost everyday so she gets a song and m&m's everyday. We are having sleeping issues so hopefully in the next week or so we are going to start teaching them to lay down and go to sleep on their own. Yes I have helped them fall asleep for two years so hopefully they will transition easily. I know it won't happen in a week or a month but I am patient so we will do this very gently. I will keep you posted on the progress.

The other great thing is the girls LOVE LOVE the gym so I am now working out. We went three days this week and I had to carry them out kicking and screaming. We go about 11:30 noon and they love to play with all of the toys and houses and slides. We have come a long way because I have tried to work out several times and I wasn't able to because one baby or the other didn't allow me to but now that we are 2 YEARS old things are different! Yeah..for me!

The girls love talking about all of the cartoon characters and all of their friends...we talk about bugs, nice and yucky bugs, but they love ladybugs. They love Sesame Street, Dragon Tales, & Calliou. These are the new cartoons but the still love Max & Ruby, Dora, Diego, Wow Wow Wubbzy, Pinky Dinky Do & Maggie and the Ferocious Beast. They also love going to the park and going on the swings and slides..oh and the sandbox. Well it is a blessing to be the Mommy of these precious girls and I am truly fortunate to be at home with them and I love every minute of it!! OMG...They will be 2 years old tomorrow!!

Okay...sorry for not posting for a while I am a little busy with these "almost" 2 year old twin girls! They keep me busy all day and I don't have much time for anything else. A lot is going on in the Iscovitz Family household..we have talkers!!

Juliana told me last week...No NO No Mommy!! NOW! this was after I told her she could have raisins after lunch. It was so cute! Juliana can count to 13 and she is practicing her ABC's. She also knows all of her colors and her favorite is Pink. She loves to sing the Happy Birthday song. She loves butterflies, ladybugs and of course ELMO and Abby from Sesame Street. Jugie is a little vegetarian...she loves all vegetables and fruit. She also has a sweet tooth like her daddy.

Anne Marie says all kinds of things like...Anne Marie's turn, Mommy scared, Sissy, Sissy, Sissy & Airplane are just a few examples. Anne's favorite color is purple! She loves to dance to the Dora song and loves loves ELMO! Anne can count to 10 and also loves to sing the ABC song and the Happy Birthday song. Today was a great day because Anne ate broccoli. She also loves red beans and rice, chicken nuggets and PIZZA! Okay here are the Halloween pictures...enjoy my little ladybugs! Here are my little beauties! They are hugging and falling.... Yep..they fell over! Rocker Daddy and his girls!

Yes...after a shower I said to Anne Marie and Juliana "Go sit on the potty and pee-pee and you will get M&M's!" (Yes I do bribe them) and Juliana sat on the potty and there was about 2 cups of Pee-Pee in there!! It was not an accident and she know she did and boy did I make a big deal. Poor little Anne Marie was a little jealous that her sis was getting all of the attention but when she does it she will get all of the attention but today was Juliana's day.

Cole's Halloween Costume Party!

Anne Marie and Juliana's friend next door,Cole, had his 2nd Birthday party this past Saturday...the girls were so cute in their costumes. I decided they would use the same costumes as last year but the girls had an opinion of their own. The problem was that they both wanted to wear the ladybug costume and neither of them wanted to even look at the bumble bee costume...so guess where I was only hours before the costume party...waiting in line at Party City buying another ladybug costume!! These little girls were very specific about wanting the "bug" costume and "No No" to the bumble bee...here is the picture of Anne, Juliana and Cole last year...

Speaking of parties!! I am starting to plan my girls birthday party which is in 32 Days!! I think we might do an ELMO theme because they love love ELMO! Anne Marie sometimes is scared of ELMO but I think we are going to theme it up with ELMO!

I haven't had time to post much but I figure the videos and pictures are just as good! I am happy to enjoy these precious moments with you all!! We are just enjoying these little girls so much and they are just so much fun at this age...it just keeps getting better and better.

They are the best friends that I want them to be!! Our home is full of excitement and laughter with these little girls and I absolutely love spending time with them. I call them "silly baby ducks"!

Trip to Austin!

We decided to take a trip to Austin with Anne Marie and Juliana. We had a great great time. We had dinner at Central Market (Thursday)with an old buddy of Mikes, Paul and his wife, Meagan and their 2 year old daughter, Keegan. It was really fun because they had a great playground and a lake with ducks. They also had a band playing and the girls loved the music. The following day (Friday)we went to Zigler Park and rode on a train which was really fun for the girls. We also visited the Capital and fed the squirrels which by the way are the friendlies squirrels ever. They would come and get a cracker out of your hand. Anne and Jugie loved running down the halls of the Capital and screaming "HEYO" which is Hello for them. We also went to the Oasis Restaurant and enjoyed the beautiful view of Lake Travis. It is amazing how beautiful Austin is...you would never know about the hills and little mountains. We also went to the pool and had dinner with Mikes friend Raffi and his wife. Finally we went to the Bat Bridge to see the bats but they never showed. It was an eventful day and thankfully the girls were so worn out they fell asleep on the ride back to the hotel.

We headed home the following day...I forgot the most craziest part of our trip!! We had to evacuate the hotel at 3:00am for a possible fire!! Yes there was a bang on the door....EVERYONE OUT...POSSIBLE FIRE. Mike and I grabbed a baby and went down five flights of stairs and sat on the curb for about an hour. There were firetrucks, people in their pajamas, etc. and it felt just like in the movies. It turned out to be smoke coming from the exercise room so it was a FALSE Alarm! We walked up five flights of stairs which is hard enough but try holding a 24 pound sleeping baby, and made it back to the room. It was an experience and the best part is that Anne and Jugie slept through the whole ordeal. WE had a great time in Austin and I can't wait to go back!

Yes...yesterday we ventured out to Babies R Us and bought potties! Anne & Jugie are now over 20 months old and we thought it might be a good idea to "introduce" the potty. I am just letting them play with it for now and hopefully the concept will sink in with these girls. The question is Which baby will pee-pee in the potty first?

Boy does time fly by....I can barely keep up with my monthly posts! Well my girls are just growing and learning and FINALLY Talking! I can remember saying last month..."When are they going to talk?" Well that time is here! They both say new words everyday and now they let you know what they want...Dora is a very popular word in our home because Anne Marie always want to watch Dora the Explorer....Juliana loves saying Isa (character in the Dora cartoon) but both girls are pretty much on the same track with words. They both can say all of the characters in Dora, Hello, Hi, Bye-Bye, Mom, Dad-Dad, Sissy, Bay, coke, sippy, snack, boo-boo, hair, eye, nose, ear, bath, pool, etc...(I could go on and on but they pretty much repeat any word we say).

Anne Marie's hair is a little ball of curls and she loves to brush her hair with hair bows. Poor little Juliana's hair is still trying to grow and she is the opposite with the hair bows....she always pulls them out. I still get the questions...twins? oh boy and girl? I told Juliana that she is too pretty to be a boy but for some reason everything thinks she is a boy...even when I dress her in a pink dress!

Juliana is still shy and she is very clingy with her mommy. If we are out in public and someone looks at her weird she will give them the evil eye and then bust out in tears. We go through this every time we are at HEB because everyone comes up to meet the girls...Anne enjoys saying Hi to everyone but Juliana does not want to be bothered. I am sure this is just a phase she is going through and it will all be over probably next month...Anne was like this three month ago so time will tell. Anne Marie is a bit more independent and doesn't care much about what is going on around her...she is in her own little world. She loves to say hi to everyone and blow kisses. She is also a little daredevil! She loves the pool and the sprinkles and waterfalls. She is very protective of Juliana and will put up a big fuss if she doesn't like what Juliana is doing or if another baby is playing with her.

The only issue we are having right now is BITING! WE probably have about 3-4 bites per day and it is very frustrating for me. Juliana usually does most of the biting so she goes to time out twice a day. I try to watch them to avoid the bites but it still happens so I will keep working on them to stop.

The girls love each other so much...they give kisses and hugs to each other all of the time. We have posted most of our videos on youtube so check it out:

18 Months Old!!

Anne Marie and Juliana are 18 months old!! Our little Angels are growing up too fast and we are just enjoying every minute of every day with them. Here are the updates:

Juliana is a smart little firecracker. She is the one who will do exactly what she is not supposed to do like playing in the toilet, climbing on the back of the sofa & just being mischief. She is going through a shy phase and it is so cute. I wouldn't expect Jugie to be shy because she was so outgoing as a baby but now things have changed. She loves blueberries...I call her Juberry... and strawberries, grapes and any type of fruit. She also loves eating Mommies food..what ever that may be. Juliana weighs 21.5 pounds and her height is 18 inches.

Anne Marie is a funny little snuggle bug. She loves to laugh at anything. She loves loves the swimming pool and she is a daredevil. We take her to the pool and she goes through all of the sprinklers and she loves going underwater. She is the picky eater...she only eats watermelon, spaghetti and french fries. She will not try anything new....oh she also will eat yogurt without the fruit..just plain vanilla. Anne Marie weighs 22.7 pounds and her height is 18 3/4 inches.

We are just having so much fun with these little girls...we take them to the park, the splash pad, the pool, grocery shopping, and of course Starbucks (so I can get through the day). They are just as cute and sweet as can be. They are learning so much and its funny because when I look at their pictures I don't see babies anymore, they look more like little girls.

Happy 17 Months! (and we are still sleeping all night long!!)

Wow! I can't believe my girls are now 17 months old. We are having so much fun with them and (I know I say this all of the time..) this is the best age ever. Anne Marie and Juliana love love love going to the park and feeding the ducks. They also love splashing in their baby pool and playing with the hose. They love going shopping...especially grocery shopping when they get to sit in the double shopping cart and they love getting samples. Our new struggle is CLIMBING..they are like two little monkeys climbing all over the place. I spend so much time watching them and trying to keep them safe. I can't wait until this stage passes because they don't realize the danger of falling. They are fearless

Well we had a very nice Easter...it took us about 2 hours to get everyone fed, dressed, diaper bag, snacks, sippy cups, etc and then we were out the door headed for church. St. Theresa's Church was so packed that we would have had to stand the whole time and hold our girls so we decided to leave. We drove to a couple of other churches but we ended up right back home so we were literally "all dressed up and no place to go". The girls got several Easter baskets filled with many toys and treats.

We also ventured out to the Houston Zoo this past weekend and it was an okay time. I think the girls are a little to young to appreciate all of the animals. They did seem to enjoy the elephants and the giraffes. It was an exhausting trip for Mommy and Daddy.

Well these are the hightlights of the last couple of weeks...we are just enjoying the wonderful moments with our girls as babies because before you know they will be all grown up!!

Finally!!! Anne Marie & Juliana BOTH slept though the night!

Yeah! It is a great day (or night) in the Iscovitz household. My girls slept from 8:30pm to 7:30am...I think we can finally say that at 15 months old they have both finally slept through the whole night. Let me say it had been a long and sleepless 15 months for us but we have finally made it. Actually Juliana has been sleeping the whole night for about 3 days now and we were pretty excited about that but the fact that Anne is sleeping the whole night also... we are just overly excited!! This is a huge milestone for the girls and a huge relief for me...I just couldn't wait for this day or the night when I could sleep right through without waking up 3 or 4 times. I hope it happens again tonight! I will post about it. Good night for us!

Anne Marie is very silly and loves to laugh. She just decided that having the hiccups was the funniest thing in the world. (I thought it was pretty funny too!!) Enjoy!

Juliana loves to walk in my shoes literally! It is easy to walk in my slippers and tennis shoes but she HAD to walk in my flip flops and they had to be on her feet perfect! Oh...her pink toes are cute too!

We were all sick and it is almost over!!

We are at the tail end of the worst sickness so far...it all started with me getting fever and aches one day and it snowballed from there. I went to the doctor (Dr. Broussard from Opelousas) and got checked out and got a couple of prescriptions. Well a couple of days later Juliana was sick and had a runny nose and soon after the same for Anne Marie. Grandma Bay just happened to be in town for a week helping us so were so happy to have her. She took care of the babies and I tried to recuperate but it took almost two weeks to get over my sickness and my girls are still sick. We were in the house bored to death for about two weeks and going stir crazy!! We are finally getting better and we are so happy! I think I wipe the girls noses 100 times a day!!

Poor Juliana couldn't breathe at night and poor little baby would let me plunge her nose any time I wanted. I think she knew it would help her. She was so stuffy that she could barely suck her bottle. (Yes they still take I bottle and I have my thoughts on that...) Anne Marie lucked out and didn't get it bad at all mostly just a runny nose. The good news is that I am 95% better and the girls are too! We can finally go out and do fun stuff...it is not fun stuck in the house with two toddlers for two weeks!!

Grandpa Stan is in town this weekend visiting from Arizona. We went to the mall and to Target today so that was a nice outing. I think tomorrow we might go to the park and take a ride in the wagon!

Well my girls are 14 months today and they are just little Angels! I describe them as
"two different to be the same" because even though they are twins they are very different.

Anne Marie looks like me and Juliana looks just like her dad. Anne Marie has big beautiful blue eyes and rosy cheeks and the prettiest smile you will ever see...oh and the cutest laugh in the world. She shakes her head saying no-no when she is not happy. She loves Dora the Explorer and recently Go Diego Go. (I probably let them watch a little too much cartoons :) She loves to dance! Anne loves to pull Casper's tail and she loves to kiss Sammy. She also loves kissing and hugging her sissy. She loves to steal Juliana's favorite blanket and they chase each other around the house laughing. This age is so much fun! (a lot of work too!)

Juliana is my little pumpkin...she has the most beautiful eyes and lips and is the prettiest little girl ever. She is a little ham and she has a very silly but outgoing personality. She is our little performer. She spins around, she does sweet eyes, she pulls her ears, she pinches our noses and her favorite word is BLUEBERRY! Imagine! She is very attached to her blanket and is very possessive of it..so when Anne Marie steals it... she chases her and it turns into a cute game. They run around the living room playing tug-a-war with the blanket. It is fun for a while...until Anne Marie gets the blanket then Juliana is not happy and it turns into a crying match.

My girls are such good babies but our little issue now is weaning them from the bottle. They still wake up at night for two bottles each and I am up minimum 5 to 6 times a night!! I think it is mostly my fault because I give them a bottle at night to make them go back to sleep as soon as possible and the bottle does the trick. They also wake each other up at night so I am dependent on the bottle also but it is all going to change HOPEFULLY!! I can't wait to post that they are officially sleeping through the night and off of the bottle...that will be a great day! Now of course we are going to do this gradual and as painless as possible but it has to be done. I want to get a full night of sleep someday.

Anyway like I said I probably let them watch a little too much cartoons but it is the only way to get a break or to get stuff done. I try to limit them but they love Dora and Diego! Well I figure when the weather is much warmer I will be out and about with them so that is how I rationalize them watching cartoons. I am pretty sure I grew up watching cartoons and I don't think I turned out too bad so there! Anyway our goal for this week and next is to wean off of the bottles so that is what we are going to do!

Merry Christmas!!

We took a trip to Lafayette this past weekend and the girls did just great! (Thanks to Dora the Explorer DVD on the ride over) We visited my Grandmother Beulah Isidore who is in a rehab hospital and she is doing okay. She was so excited to see the girls! The girls were able to visit with their Uncle Boo and he bought them tons of Christmas presents. The girls did great over at MaMa Bays but her condo is not baby proof so we were exhausted running after them all day. We made it back to Missouri City on Saturday and we are still recovering from our trip...laundry, schedules, etc.

We had a nice, quiet Christmas, just the four of us. I cooked turkey, cornbread dressing, mac-n-cheese, and mixed vegetables. It was really good so I gave myself a pat on the back! I am from a long line of good cooks! Anne Marie and Juliana loved the Christmas dinner! They opened their presents and played all day. They are transitioning from two naps to one and it is not an easy thing....sometimes they take two naps...sometimes one and usually they are very cranky!! We do not like this stage but just like everything else...once you get used to this stage it will change. Overall we had a very very nice Christmas!!! The girls are fast asleep! Hopefully they will stay asleep for the night! (not very likely but I am hopeful!!)

Juliana's First Sickness-Roseola

Well we had a very interesting week...Juliana had fever for two straight days over the weekend so I took her to the doctor first thing Monday morning and she had an exam which included a stick on her finger. She was not happy and she let me kiss her finger to make it feel better. Anyway she pretty much was given a clean bill of health...well that night she kept me and her dad up all night....fussing, tossing and turning, screaming, etc. I didn't know what was wrong with her so I brought her back to the doctor...well we thought it was stomach problems so I switched her back to baby formula and she did fine that night. Well the next morning poor Jugie Bear woke up and had a rash all over so I took her back to the doctor (the third time this week!!) and she was diagnosed with Roseola. It is pretty common with babies and Dr. Stoerner said the worst is over and she will be fine. Well my Juliana is back to her old sweet wonderful self and we are all happy again. I felt like poor Annie Bear was getting neglected this week because I had to focus on Juliana but I spent extra time with Anne Marie so she is just great!! This week Juliana is doing sweet eyes, pinching my nose, rubbing my back and turning the lights on and off. Anne Marie is playing hide and seek, turning the lights off, laughing at 1,2,3 and really trying to say words. The girls are so much fun at this age (almost 13 months!) and they are now playing peek a boo with each other and cracking up laughing. They are so cute!!

Happy Thanksgiving Day!! (after)

Well today is the anniversary of when we brought our little girls home from the hospital. Yes we brought them home on Thanksgiving Day 2006!! Anne Marie and Juliana stayed in the NICU for 9 LONG Days and we were so blessed to bring them home on Thanksgiving Day. Today brought back those wonderful memories! My mom, Bay, cooked Thanksgiving dinner and was waiting for us to get home with our babies. It was the best Thanksgiving ever!

This Thanksgiving we were invited to our great friends home, Patrick & Lezley Blood. Lezley's mom cooked a great Thanksgiving meal and she absolutely loved Anne Marie & Juliana. They were running all over the place and were just as cute and adorable as can be. They ate turkey, ham and mashed potatoes with gravy. We had a great Thanksgiving with our friends and were exhausted after all of that turkey! We were home for 5:00 and the girls were in bed by 6:30, Mike was in bed at 7:00, and I was in bed at 8:00! It was a long long day!

One Year Appointment!

Well we had our one year doctors appointment today and my girls are doing just great! Anne is 21 pounds and Juliana is 20 pounds. My girls were supposed to take 4 vaccines today in addition to a TB test, whatever! I opted out of the MMR vaccination because of the controversy with Autism and the TB test-I made Mike refuse that one. My poor girls took three shots each and I think I felt their pain. I don't think I have ever heard them cry so much except for when they get shots. Yes...we do not let them cry ever! CIO is not for me. Anne did a lot better with the shots than Juliana...I think because she has little fat legs! We got ice cream cones on the way home but poor Jugie fell asleep and didn't get any ice cream but Anne Marie enjoyed it.

Anyway we had a good report from Dr. Sterner! They are very advanced for their age and especially since they were 5 weeks premature. I love my girls!!

Today is a very special day for me and my husband...our beautiful twin daughters are 1 year today! I just can't believe a year has gone by so fast. We are so blessed to have these special little girls in our lives!

Anne Marie - She is dainty and cuddly and lovable. She loves to sleep with her Mommy (everynight!). She has the biggest blue eyes you will ever see and she is just a beautiful baby. She loves to stack things, blocks, papers, toys, etc. She loves playing with her sissy and sharing her toys. She also loves avocado and watermelon. She is very cranky after 3:00pm!! Anne Marie is just a picture perfect baby and she has a sweet, lovable personality!!

Juliana-She is the ham! She is the leader of the pack and she loves getting into trouble. She is super smart and loves the remote control, keys, computers, telephones, and cell phones. She had beautiful brown eyes and a porcelain doll face. She is just beautiful. She is cuddly and loves to sit on Mommy in the morning while watching Dora. She has a very even temperament and she is a little performer. She loves all food and she is sassy and sweet!!

Officially I am launching my blog on Wednesday, November 14, 2007. My twin girls, Anne Marie & Juliana, are going to be ONE year old. I am in the process of planning their 1st Birthday Party which is on November 10th. The purpose of my blog is to document my life with my twin girls and the funny, crazy, silly, interesting, etc. (you get the point) things that we do everyday.
